Yesterday I walked in the mango grove in the front garden at Campus 3. Before I got there, my senses shifted into a mode that was free from mind as the mind went still. The cactus in the center of the circular drive was magnificent in it’s beauty. I stood and loved. No reason to move, but the feet went down the steps and down the sidewalk. Suddenly and with surprise and joy two rows of magnificent beings were acknowledging this presence and calling me in. The mangos were filled with life that I could feel. At that moment something that Krishnaji had said to a group of Indian devotees two weeks earlier was there. “Consciousness is everywhere. It fills this room like the air. Consciousness is matter filling the room. Matter becomes form and we experience it. We experience consciousness in form when we see, hear and taste.” At that moment, a great expansion with intense Joy was there. In that joy, I saw that this body was also consciousness that had taken form, one of the billions of forms. And through this form, consciousness was discovering Itself in all forms. The One discovering Itself is rapturous and it discovers itself in all beings and things from moment to moment. In that moment, I was That.
